I’m very happy to share that I will be co-hosting an intimate wine dinner with Édouard Moueix at Ten Trinity Square Private Members’ Club at the Four Seasons Tower Bridge on 28 January, presented in collaboration with Geneva-based fine-wine specialist Vintage Cellar.
The evening focuses on the Moueix family’s approach to winemaking, shaped by finesse, continuity, and a long-term understanding of terroir, where time and precision matter more than immediacy or spectacle.
Édouard Moueix is a Bordeaux winemaker and the co-owner and director of Château Bélair-Monange, Premier Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion. A third-generation member of one of Bordeaux’s most influential families, Moueix is closely associated with the Right Bank and estates such as Château La Fleur-Pétrus and Château Hosanna. Trained in viticulture and oenology, his formation took place within the family’s historic Right Bank estates, including close exposure to the Pétrus universe, before he returned to Saint-Émilion to shape the future of Château Bélair-Monange.

Since taking direction of the estate, Édouard Moueix has overseen a profound transformation rooted in parcel-by-parcel viticulture, organic and sustainable practices, and an emphasis on balance and freshness over power. Working closely with his father, Christian Moueix, he has helped redefine what a grand vin can represent today — not a demonstration of force, but a precise and thoughtful expression of place guided by finesse.
The dinner unfolds through four wines, each reflecting a shared philosophy rather than a hierarchy of prestige:
Château Hosanna 2009
Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2010
Château Bélair-Monange 2016
Dominus Estate 2021
Together, these wines form a coherent narrative across Bordeaux and Napa Valley. From Pomerol, Château Hosanna 2009 and Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2010 offer two Merlot-led expressions marked by depth, lift, and quiet structure, revealing generosity without heaviness. Château Bélair-Monange 2016, anchored in limestone, brings tension, mineral clarity, and architectural precision — an expression of place that feels composed, resonant, and enduring.
Chef Giacomo Tranquilli
The journey concludes across the Atlantic with Dominus Estate 2021, crafted in Napa Valley under the direction of Christian Moueix. Cabernet-driven yet finely balanced, the wine demonstrates how the Moueix philosophy can translate to a different landscape while preserving freshness and definition.
The wines will be paired with a bespoke menu by Giacomo Tranquilli, Head Chef at Ten Trinity Square Private Members’ Club. Roman by origin, his career spans Abajo, Pelagos at Four Seasons Astir Palace Athens, and La Dame de Pic, where he contributed to the restaurant’s two Michelin stars. His cooking draws on Mediterranean clarity, Roman depth, and Japanese technique, offering a natural counterpoint to wines defined by finesse and precision.
Presented in collaboration with Vintage Cellar, the evening offers a focused immersion into the Moueix approach, where wine and gastronomy are guided by finesse, intention, and respect for time.
